Metal Cladding

Installed by Diamond Exteriors across Kelowna and the Okanagan.

Architectural metal cladding installed on a modern custom-home exterior in the Okanagan, BC, with clean panel lines and multi-material detailing.

Architectural Metal Cladding

Architectural metal cladding includes steel, aluminum and metal-composite exterior systems used to create durable, contemporary building façades.

Diamond Exteriors works with metal systems ranging from traditional corrugated steel to concealed-fastener steel siding, extruded-aluminum planks, wood-look aluminum, architectural battens and large-format composite panels.

Manufacturers such as MAC Metal, Westform and Longboard offer different approaches to architectural metal. Steel systems can create board-and-batten, plank, corrugated and standing-profile appearances, while extruded aluminum can form V-Groove siding, soffits, battens and open-joint features. Metal-composite panels provide another option for large, smooth panel façades.

Modern finish technology gives metal cladding far more design flexibility than conventional industrial siding. Available finishes can include woodgrains, solid colours, metallics, textured coatings, zinc-inspired surfaces and other architectural effects.

Diamond Exteriors installs metal cladding for custom homes, exterior renovations, multi-family buildings, new construction and selected commercial projects throughout Kelowna and the Okanagan.

Successful metal-cladding installation requires more than fastening panels to a wall. Rainscreen, substrate, flashings, openings, thermal movement, fasteners and transitions to other materials all need to be coordinated as part of the complete exterior assembly.

The correct metal system depends on the building design, desired finish, exposure, budget and technical requirements of the project.
