Fibre-Cement Siding

Fibre-cement siding is a durable exterior cladding category used extensively on homes, multi-family buildings and commercial projects. It combines cement-based materials with reinforcing fibres to create siding and panels that can reproduce traditional wood siding profiles while also supporting modern architectural designs.

Fibre cement works particularly well for exterior renovations and new construction because it can be combined with masonry, stucco, metal cladding, wood-look siding and other materials. Panel products can also be detailed with aluminum reveal systems such as EasyTrim to create contemporary grid and shadow-line façades.

The material is generally selected for durability, fire resistance, dimensional stability and relatively low maintenance compared with many natural wood exterior products. Exact characteristics, coating systems and warranties vary by manufacturer and product line.
